Frequently asked questions.

What are the steps to work with Mad About Fashion?

Once you send an enquiry through my website, I will organise a 15 minute discovery call with you to determine which package is most appropriate for you. In this call we will discuss your desired outcome, cost and timings. Plus, if you have any questions I’d be more than happy to help you. From there, we will organise a date for our in person or virtual style consultation and the steps from here will be determined by which package you choose.

How do I know which package is right for me?

Each package gives a different outcome. If you are stuck and bored with both your wardrobe and your shopping experiences, the MAD style package is for you. If your wardrobe is filled but you don’t know what to wear, then the Wardrobe Revamp is a good place to start. If you are happy with your wardrobe and just need some help in the shops then the 1:1 shopping experience is for you.

The virtual lookbooks are a great alternative for those who don’t want to work face to face at this point in time. Or, if you are located outside of Victoria these lookbooks will give you the opportunity to still work with me in a different format.

If you are interested in a travel lookbook, ensure you book well in advance prior to your holiday to so you have enough time to choose and order the pieces to be delivered to your home.

How does the shopping work?

The benefit of working with me is the shopping is all pre-researched and organised for you. The cost of my services does not include your shopping expenses. When we go in store, your clothes will already be selected and the stress of finding items is taken away.

I work full time, how do I fit this all in?

Mad About Fashion is understanding of the extremely busy lives we all live, which is why I will endeavour to cater to your individual needs. I offer late-night trading options, and Saturday shopping if needed. However, please keep in mind that early week or late nights are a much more suitable time to be at the shops to avoid crowds.

How do the look books work?

Mad About Fashion uses a platform called ShopShare, where I create lookbooks that have products linked for you to choose and buy. It will directly take you to the product on the brand’s webpage to make your life easier!

Lookbooks can be added on to some packages, where I will include photos of you in your styled looks, plus some wish list items if desired.

Where are you located? What if I live interstate or in rural VIC?

I am based in South-East Melbourne. My preferred shopping centres are Chadstone or Eastland. However, I am able to travel to other centres at an extra cost. Similarly, if you live in rural Victoria, an additional fee will apply. This will be discussed in the discovery call.

What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required if you need to cancel, we will then reschedule a time to get styling. All packages are non-refundable (within reason) and can be made for another time.

I’ve just given birth and nothing fits. When is the right time to work with you?

There is never going to be a ‘perfect’ time with anything in life, however I do suggest you wait around 2-3 months minimum postpartum before you start trying on clothes. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to go through your wardrobe earlier and do a later shop ,this is also possible. During the discovery call, we can allocate days over the time period you desire.

When is payment due? How do I pay?

100% of the payment is required by the date of the style consultation, unless you have chosen a payment plan. Payment can be made via bank transfer. Once the consultation is confirmed, an invoice will be sent via email to be paid within 7 days.

I want to work with you but I can’t afford it at the moment, what do I do?

Mad About Fashion offers payment plans if required. Alternatively if you’d like to work with me in the future, please contact me to avoid disappointment. Payment is due by the date of our style consultation.
